“Amazing little Gem near Gig Harbor! We had a wonderful stay! The first night we arrived very late. It was pouring down rain and dark outside. We were able to find the place very easily and once in it was very cozy. There is a little door that opens up to the forest and was really peaceful listening to the rain all night. “Very Comfortable with a well appointed Kitchen. Excellent view of Hood Canal and occasional glimpses of mountains through the fog and clouds. Would recommend visiting the Union Visitor Center for good information about the sites and activities in the area. We enjoyed a few hikes to waterfalls and dinner of Oysters and Dungenese crabs. Preparing meals was easy in the spacious and well appointed kitchen. Perhaps the only drawback was the motorcycles on the road below the cabin and canal. I……

“The property was lovely with beautiful views of the water. It was very private and perfect for a weekend getaway. The only hiccup was the WiFi. It was too weak to make it through a movie using either our computers or their own ROKU system. Loading was slow. They need to up their WiFi strength and put in extenders so that you can use the WiFi in the back bedroom. Otherwise are stay was perfect.”

“We were in town for a soccer tournament in Gig Harbor and the property was perfectly located, just a short drive from the freeway, making it super convenient for getting around. The place was spotless and well-maintained—felt like a home away from home. It was also nice and quiet, making for a peaceful stay. “Beautiful old fishing cabin, nicely renovated and updated. It is just a beautiful place to wake up and enjoy the day. Also, across the street is a marvelous open space, many trails and beautiful forest and ferns. ”

“Everything about the listing was accurate. It is cozy, quiet and peaceful. I could walk up the road towards a dead end with my dogs and also down to Hoodsport from the cabin. There is a bit of noise from the highway up above the property, but really only in front of the house. The babbling creek was what was heard from the house and back area over the creek. There is also an open area just steps from the front door to walk dogs, too. The kitchen was very well stocked! The host was responsive……

“We have stayed at several properties on the hood canal and all agree that this is the one we will return to. The home is vibrantly decorated, accentuating the endless views through the doors and windows, well appointed with everything we needed, and spacious enough to accommodate 6 adults and a small dog. We spent our days outside, watching the seals and fisherman, harvesting and grilling oysters, and kayaking. The proximity to town was a big bonus. Yes, as some have noted, there is road……
