“I stayed at Memoir Buckman for 3 nights. The property was well appointed and tastefully decorated. The staff were super helpful and accommodating. They don’t have onsite parking, but if you’re visiting with a vehicle, there are surface lots close by. The only negative was the weekend noise level. It’s not Memoir Buckman’s fault, but the sports bar (Jackie’s) across the street has a dj or something on Friday and Saturday nights until about 2 AM. My room faced the bar, and the music was so……

“We very much enjoyed our stay at Portland Sanctuary! It was myself, my husband and my toddler. It was a large space, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was especially convenient and having basics like oil and spices made it so we could easily prepare a few meals. Beds were quite comfy too. My son loved the chickens in the yard! Only negatives were that the heaters are low to the ground and can get hot to the touch so I had to be careful which ones were on when my toddler was ”

“This place is amazing! What a great place to stay. Super close within walking distance to many food options which was a huge plus for us! The unit we stayed in was very clean, and a cool little outdoor sitting area. The backyard is a very cool tranquil area to sit and relax while feeling secluded! I highly recommend staying here! The hosts were equally as amazing and helpful with information. We will for sure stay there again.”

“This is a perfect place for a single or couple to sleep, shower, and get ready for the day. I think it's a full bed, so if you're super tall it might be an issue. Great for the price; the accommodations are low-end hotel quality and could cost 50% more and still be a good deal. “Just what we wanted: a spacious amount of room for 4 people, an unusual location while still convenient to Portland, and a responsive host. It's more "house" than "boat," but it's located on a pretty little stretch of water with a small current. We loved watching the geese family, heron and beaver across the way. We weren't expecting train tracks to be so close, or the trains so plentiful, but it soon added to the charm of the place. Access is easy, with one reserved parking spot. Others living……

“Very comfortable stay! Extra fee for parking and its a little weird that the parking doesnt attach to the hotel, but all good. Also thought it was strange that stairs were not easily accessible...I tried taking stairs near my room to exit and it did not lead to anywhere that I could exit...I prefer stairs always, so this was a bit weird to me too, but again, very minor. Staff was super friendly! Would gladly stay here again and would recommend for anyone coming to Portland wanting to stay on the……
