“The property was "as advertised" but really the beauty of this space couldn't be captured by the photos. It had modern amenities but felt like you were stepping into the past at the same time. The covered but open porch overlooking the Illinois River was also more stunning than the photos could reflect. We used it as a retreat with a small group of pastors (8 of us) and it was well loved by everyone. Highly recommended! Beware: there's only one bedroom on the main floor and the rest of the……

“This was an amazing little home that had everything my boyfriend and I needed for our Starved Rock weekend getaway. It was centrally located in a very quiet neighborhood. The bed was so comfy and both of us slept soundly. It was our home away from home for several days and we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place near Starved Rock.
