“Hotel is very nice and clean. Staff friendly. Only complaint is that the bed made noises every time you would sit down or turn over. Would benefit from better lighting and more plug in spots”

“This is our go-to hotel when we pass through MS. Meets the needs of our family of 6 plus 2 small pets just perfectly! Clean linens, room smelled fresh, decent hot breakfast, quiet, and convenient safe location. No, it's not a 5 star hotel, but then again, I can't afford 5 star prices with 4 children and 2 pets.”

“Beautiful and impressive mansion like staying inside a castle. I was impressed with all the antique furnitures. That was a treat for me. I was grateful for the talk after breakfast about the history of the place. Downside was that some staff services and the logistics could have been better. The hair conditioner bottle was indeed shampoo. My dietary preference at breakfast didn’t make it to the kitchen staff (or it was ignored/ forgotten). Staff Couldn’t find the key to my room upon check in. ”

“We stayed in Mae-Mae's Room at the Steele Cottage and it was great for our needs. Well appointed, conveniently located and easily accessible, yet removed from the core downtown area for privacy. The breakfast service at the Duff Green Mansion B&B was good for a first morning, but the 3+ block walk is not directly toward the main part of downtown and the river. I suggest equipping the Steele Cottage with bottled waters and snack items in each room for optimal convenience.”
