“Beautiful and impressive mansion like staying inside a castle. I was impressed with all the antique furnitures. That was a treat for me. I was grateful for the talk after breakfast about the history of the place. Downside was that some staff services and the logistics could have been better. The hair conditioner bottle was indeed shampoo. My dietary preference at breakfast didn’t make it to the kitchen staff (or it was ignored/ forgotten). Staff Couldn’t find the key to my room upon check in. ”

“The historical house is beautiful on the inside. The proprieter is froendly and made a wonderful breakfast. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We will stay there again.”

“We stayed in Mae-Mae's Room at the Steele Cottage and it was great for our needs. Well appointed, conveniently located and easily accessible, yet removed from the core downtown area for privacy. The breakfast service at the Duff Green Mansion B&B was good for a first morning, but the 3+ block walk is not directly toward the main part of downtown and the river. I suggest equipping the Steele Cottage with bottled waters and snack items in each room for optimal convenience.”

“It was a quick stop along our trip. At 5 am, someone was yelling and disturbing the whole hotel. ”

“There was a woman that was yelling all night. She woke me up 4 times during the night. Someone was smoking in the elevator. The city of Vicksburg was very run down. There was the smell of smoke and weed throughout the city.”
