“This is a hidden gem. A car is essential as the hotel is in a very pretty but rural area with no other facilities. However the hotel is absolutely first class, the rooms are spacious, airy and well appointed. The hotel restaurant is brilliant with a great selection of local dishes and on Saturday and Sunday a quaint small bar at the front of the hotel where you can sit and watch the occasional cyclist or car go by. The owning family are so helpful and made us feel so welcome ”

Before we even arrived, she woke up out of her sleep to assist me. I hadn’t realized the time difference and she still woke up to with some requests needed. “What a beautiful and historic hotel in the center of Gorizia! The folks at the hotel are all very friendly and helpful. The wine bar is wonderful, the breakfast was lovely. It’s centrally located easy walking distance from public transit, sights, restaurant and bars. The room was odd (the building is very old!) but perfectly comfy! Highly recommend this hotel.”
