“From the moments we arrived there and saw the beautiful stone buildings with the backdrop of the mountains and Italian countryside, I knew this was going to be a special place. We were greeted by two friendly dogs and a curious cat before interring the main living area that doubles as the breakfast/dinner area. “Our two-night stay in Sulmona could not have been better. This six-room hotel, run by two brothers, is modern, clean, convenient to the center, and comfortable (great bed). Breakfast will fit any diet. Heat is more than ample. We asked them to recommend a driver to could take us into the mountains for c. 4 hours, and one of the brothers volunteered for a very fair price. Recommended without qualification.”

“Perfect pick for us, convenient, clean, safe, helpful staff. Helped get a taxi to get to Salerno train station. Breakfast included. Beautiful view of river running thru Campagna. Campagna has historical sites which housed Jews during war, but the Italians were kind to the prisoners, which caused some their lives. US bombed Campagna causing deaths to Jews and citizens, but my family realizes it was a stratigic strike. Catacombs under church dating way back. Great Catina there, also pizzaria ”
