You experience a bit of the homeowners love of this island in the decor and gardens. For us, the location was ideal - away from the popular beaches, tourist shops, etc. Here……

“One of the highlights of our trip to the Big Island was our stay in Naalehu. The house is just fantastic, with 3 good-sized bedrooms and two beautifully appointed bathrooms. The open plan sitting area and kitchen was such a welcoming space compared to most hotels. The decks offer great ocean views. A perfect spot for access to black, green, and white sand beaches at the southernmost point in the United States. ”

“I stayed here for a month and felt quite at home. Michael, the host checked in and was prompt on returning texts or phone calls. Its a bit cool in the evenings so bring a long sleeve shirt or two and/or sweatshirt. If you hang laundry to dry, i recommend bringing it inside if it clouds up ir it won't get dry. Very private. Hot showers. Lots of different kinds of birds. Geckos and Jackson Chameleons. Two markets, convenience store, and laundromat just down at the highway. Best drinking water is……

“Direction to site were poor. Should include map and key spots to look for before turns. Spell out south etc. Before towns .. after towns etc...”

“The property was even better than anticipated. The ocean was right in front of the house, no other houses in the way of the ocean vistas. Perfect sunrises and sunsets every day. The most beautiful, quiet, restful place in Ocean View, and this was our fourth stay here. The occasional person we encountered on our walks was very friendly.”
