“This is my second stay at this property, I love the property. If you want to be in the middle of the action this is not the place if you want to lay back and enjoy the island this, is it. 1 hour away from VNP and an hour from Kona if you need to go into town, close enough to Hilo for a day trip as well. The small pool and view cannot be beat to complete the deal. The house is great, the bedding is nice, plenty of towels, kitchen is very well stocked. I cook most of our meals. Yoga mats……

“The house was lovely. Very clean and comfortable. The location is easy to find and feels secluded. Sitting on the deck enjoying the yard view was a treat. We would certainly stay again.”

“Classic Hawaiian plantation style house; rustic in the best way! Truly a gem if you like old Hawaii...yet with all the modern amenities (TV Internet Kitchen etc.). House had electric heaters in every room as well as a gas fireplace that cranked out the heat. I will absolutely stay here again. 3 minutes and 33 seconds away from the Park entrance ( we timed it; that's with no cars on the road, 4-5 minutes avg. during the day) Thank you Ola'a! ”

“We love the house- hate the humidity. Of course, that is common to the whole island,,,,We had daily visits from a gecko we named Gary. At least we think it was the same little fellow; we only saw two geckos simultaneously once Plus, there's a cute little baby gecko in the bedroom who is shy and climbs around at night. The neighborhood and the driveway are all steep like San Francisco hills. There are a few spices in the kitchen and a good selection of cooking/baking equipment. At night the……

“Our host as very accommodating and responded to anything we needed. The daylight lower apartment is nicely set up. We could see a little view of trees and the water from the small deck with a surrounding flowering garden.We were able to make meals on the hot plate and small refrigerator provided. A microwave and coffee pot is available too. The bathroom is beautiful and the bed comfortable. It was in a neighborhood, so stores are 20 to 30 minutes away. But we appreciated the quiet and snorkling……

“I stayed at this property to see the volcano eruption. It was perfect! This apartment has everything— the owner even provides flashlights which was a lifesaver when hiking around the crater rim trail in the dark.. I would stay again if I ever get the chance. Thank you!!”

“Here you will find a home surrounded by a beautiful garden with a very large covered deck overlooking the ocean to the west. Stunning sunrises, warm breezes, and a canopy of stars and the Milky Way at night uninhibited by city lights. The home is as described, but more. Comfortable, welcoming and everything you would need. You experience a bit of the homeowners love of this island in the decor and gardens. For us, the location was ideal - away from the popular beaches, tourist shops, etc. Here……

“Cute, exceptionally well-stocked place with a cannot-be-beat location hot tub and other comfy amenities for those chilly Volcano Village nights. Want a beach day instead? They have those items for you as well. Highly recommend, except on those days that I will want to come back — because I most certainly will! Stacey, owner, was highly communicative. ”

“Nice house and Location. A little south of main business so you have to plan to get food, gas etc. Only down side was we we were required to take garbage to the disposal site that is close to the house on our last day but the sites closed on Fridays so we had to scramble a bit to find another location or would have been charged 50 if we left it at the house.”
