“Waking up to the birdsong was my favorite time of day. I'd get up, make coffee and head out on the lanai to watch the morning unfold. I spent lots of time on the lanai relaxing and recharging. Close enough to beaches, national parks, grocery stores, and Ka Lae Garden Thai restaurant. I highly recommend!”

“Wanted to get a feel for DH vibe. My son recently purchased a lot there. This is our 7th trip to the Big Island, and first time to stay in Naalehu. Definitely more chill, less people and less touristy. Volcano was spectacular! House was adequate. Furnishings were spartan, not very homey. Kitchen was very nice with newer appliances, except the frig door didn't seal tightly.Overall an enjoyable stay, it's Hawaii!!”

“In terms of a great place to stay, it was awesome!It is one the southern part of the island, so know you will have a drive getting to Kona or Hilo. But if your goal was like ours, to get away from things, it was an oasis. Having said that you are a relatively short drive to Volcanoes National Park, the Punulu'u bakery and the Punulu'u black sand beach. You also have some great hiking nearby at the Volcanoes National Park Kahuku unit.The property is a well equipped 3 bedroom with a sunroom……
