“Avon is a nice, relaxed area and the suite we stayed in was perfect for a couple to stay in. We didn’t hear much noise from the house but got all of the information we needed through messages. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub because of a storm but it was clean and a good temperature when I checked.”

“This was our first time staying in Avon. This was a cozy room in a great location. The Avon Pier was right across the street. Coffee in the cafe was delicious and convenient. Dawn was accommodating and had great recommendations for area restaurants. We also enjoyed a clay class and made our own coffee mugs. What a great experience. ”

“We coordinated our trip with friends staying at the KOA. This apartment was close enough to make meeting up for dinner/sight seeing easy. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood which we prefer over the noise of all the activity areas of the campground. The open room layout was fine for the two of us and the beach is within a sort walking distance.”

“Our stay was amazing! Our unit was so clean and comfortable! Everything we needed for our stay was there and the communication with the host was outstanding. They responded within less than 30 mins. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure their guest have a wonderful and comfortable stay, it was very appreciated. We definitely plan on coming back and bringing more family!”

“We absolutely loved the cabana and the personnel at Wtermen’s retreat! From check in to dining and the water sports offered, all were nothing short of spectacular! We had a blast at our cabana and the beach was a short walk away. The food at the restaurant was fabulous and the sunsets were freaking awesome! I highly recommend this resort at the Outer Banks of NC.”

“We had so much fun at this property! I felt like it was perfect because we had a washer and dryer, so it was great for washing clothes for our baby (we traveled with a 7 month old). I liked that there were 2 bathrooms, and the bedrooms were extremely spacious! This didn’t really bother us, but keep in mind that the location isn’t right on the beach. I would say it’s about a 15 minute walk to the beach through some neighborhoods behind the cabanas. And Hatteras is known for mosquitoes, so if……

“My Husband and I stayed at Waterman's Retreat over Christmas and had a lovely time. The apartment was spacious, stylish, and clean and centrally located in the villages. Management was responsive and easily accessible, and having REAL Watersports just across the street was super convenient with a beautiful view. Would definitely recommend staying with Waterman's”

“We enjoyed being close to REAL Water Sports and the Salvo Day Use area - for some kiting and canoeing. The bedroom is small but the bathroom is large. Lee also has an outdoor shower, which is nice after coming home wet and sandy. “This property on a positive note had enough room for everybody but hasn’t been maintained over the years at a standard that should’ve been maintained for today’s travelers. The decorations were not nice the furniture and surfaces were all old the beds were small and uncomfortable and old. We really felt like it was something we would not be paying top dollar for. “We chose this house because we weren't sure of the weather in October. The movie theater room was a big hit with all the kids, and the pool table was a hit for the adults. We loved having bedrooms and bathrooms on all the floors, and the kids loved staying together in the bunk bedroom. The walk to the beach was a breeze, and it was nice to be able to have our own pool since the waves were pretty wild while we were there. Communication and check-in/out were a breeze.
