I am a huge Gone With the Wind fan and this property brought you back to the South prior to the Civil War all we needed were ball gowns to make it really authentic. The house was well appointed with the necessaries (toilet paper, tissues, and toiltetries). In addition the kitchen pantry had salt, pepper, flour and other staples. The interior of the house is amazing with much of the furniture handmade by the owner……

“Our family stumbled across this gem while looking for places to stay for a weekend near Williamsburg. The place was a dream to stay in, the hosts were wonderful and thought of so many details to make guests stay better (fresh eggs, Wi-Fi QR code, lighter and starter logs for the fire pit, all the cooking utensils, the list goes on), and the whole time we were in colonial Williamsburg our 6 yo wanted to go back to the little red barn. “We spent four nights here and loved our experience! The cabin is gorgeous, clean, and well appointed. Some of our favorites were the huge wraparound deck, boardwalk to the water, fishing off the dock, and the fun basement games. The location is a great jumping off point for Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Busch Gardens. Overall, this was a wonderful and relaxing get-away for our family. ”

“This is a comfortable place to spend a few days in Richmond and the pictures in the listing tell the story accurately. Steps from Perly's, Stella's grocery and everything else downtown, yet feels calm and quiet in the apartment.There was a persistant acrid smell, like burnt rubber or wires in the bathroom the whole time, which would not clear even with the exhaust fan.
