“On the down side: It's VERY dark in the house. Other than kitchen & bath, lighting is poor. Walls are all dark which attributes to the lighting issue. The house is too beautiful to have such a gloomy look. Poor instructions from owner. Unable to discard trash as garage was locked. Unfamiliar with propane, I could only get one burner to work on the stove. No cleaning supplies were available for me to use if needed. Bring a wand if you want to watch television. “My family and I had a very peaceful stay here. The house is lived in, clean, and homey. This made me feel more comfortable staying with dogs and two teenagers. The views are beautiful and the quiet and privacy was an added bonus. I really enjoyed walking down to the water in the morning to see the sunrise each day. A few things that could use some care are the grill and one of the TVs. Otherwise, this was a lovely stay.”

“The house and property were beautiful. The perfect winter Vermont weekend getaway we were looking for. Sledding for the kids and wood stove to keep cozy by. A couple of issues we had were two smoke detectors chirping low battery as soon as we arrived, and while the house did seem clean, there was evidence of rodent nesting in the kitchen. Vacasa quickly offered to come out. I recommend that VRBO indicate 4WD required in winter. This was not indicated on the VRBO website and we didn't see……

“This property was simply amazing - the location was easy to stowe, remote enough to feel Vermonty, but not too rural at all. The inside of the home was SO clean and well decorated. Cozy, large and well laid out. Beds are very comfy and great linens. We did not want to leave :) Kitchen was well stocked and they use natural/fragrance free products which was huge for me! The house is much larger and spacious than pictures showed. ”
