“It was a lovely experience staying at Engiri. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Our room was simple but spacious with a terrace to sit on. The food catered for us as vegetarian and was all freshly prepared and delicious. The outdoor seating in the restaurant was a nice place to dine. The staff is so friendly and attentive. It was great to see the occasional elephant on site. The lodge arranged our boat safari on Kazinga Channel which was a fantastic experience and so economical. Other activities……

“Older fixtures still in good shape. Elegant by the standard of 1990s. Large rooms, large bathrooms, nice balcony view. Excellent breakfast. A little bit overpriced. The front desk management are not cooperating to give discounts for larger groups. I will keep that in mind when I will bring the next group in Fort Portal.”

“We enjoyed the seclusion and views of the lake. Morning boat trip to Nyombe swamp was fabulous - great to set off in mist and see sun rising then clear- good birds to see in swamp area Food good and service excellent Intermittent electricity in room bit frustrating and need to run shower for 10 minutes before any hot water. Wi-Fi only in main reception / restaurant area ”
