“This is a very clean and comfortable place at a great price point. The best thing is the really sweet couple running the place. It's an old property but for the price it is safe, clean and what you need for a couple good nights of sleep. I came here for a marathon in Shiner so it was a good location. It's near HEB and a few interesting towns like Luling and Gonzalez on the fringe of hill country. ”

“Great place. Very comfortable and easy to walk to town. Since my last visit they have added a nice sitting area outside and the back yard for pets is big plus.”

“Absolutely amazing. The host is out of this world and the most down to earth people you’ll ever meet. The property is super cute and full of farm animals. The sleeping quarters were excellent. The outdoor shower is a neat bonus. We will definitely be back next time we visit the shiner area.Cheers”

“Our family took our 79 year old mom to see the painted churches. We all stayed at The Hideaway. It was so beautiful and peaceful. We all enjoyed spending time out on the porch just enjoying nature and family time. This place is so nice and clean and our host was very courteous and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!”
