“The Fern House is a very beautiful, clean and cozy home. It was our home base to the many places we visited. (Sequoia zoo/park, Trees of mystery, Grizzly creek, and Samoa beach) The Fern House provided us with quiet place to sleep. Even during the day it was quiet. It was well equipped/supplied. We did bring a rice cooker and deep dish pans. But kitchen was well equipped with everything else. Didn't have access to the garage. Granddaughter enjoyed the kid's bedroom andtoys. She didn't have the……

“Beautiful house in a perfect location across from hiking and a cool playground at Arcata Park. The house was well appointed and the owners were very responsive in bringing over a battery we needed. Great stay!”

“Extremely comfortable, clean, well maintained and spacious house for 5 retired men on a Humboldt Bay halibut fishing vacation. Check-in process was efficient and easy. Property owner very responsive to texts.Couple of issues that should be addressed.1. Gas stove burners do not automatically ignite. Had to use a hand held lighter to ignite burners.2. Outdoor propane grill is very rickety/falling apart.3. Some upstairs windows are missing screens. Would have liked to leave those windows open……

“This house is very well equipped with what look like new brand bathrooms and very clean rooms and setting. Outdoor space for fire or gathering or games all terrific. Mid century modern charms with a new feel. Neighborhood was quiet. Within walking distance of the beautiful Arcata Community forest which was our first taste of the Redwoods and was a great hike and beautiful. Coffee shop and grocery store within walking distance. Village a mile or two away! Cannot say enough positive about this……
