“Nice hotel, lovely decor. Close to UVA. Nice bar area near lobby. Great breakfast at the Cafe. Gorgeous rooftop. Rooms and bathrooms are great. A bit pricey”

“I would rate this property as excellent with the exception that they need to replace the mattresses with a better quality to rate it as excellent. Otherwise the property is beautiful and the staff is excellent. ”

“We loved the retro look of the room and the hotel. As other reviewers noted, the hotel is close to sorority and fraternity houses, so there's a lot of party-related noise and activity. Also, the only free parking is on the street, so it can be hard to find a spot. We definitely will stay again because we loved the hotel and its proximity to UVA Grounds and restaurants.”

“Brigitte was a superb hostess . Her home is beautiful, surrounded by farmland with sheep and horses..It is only a short drive into Charlottesville and it's many excellent restaurants. She has two electric vehicle chargers for guests as well. Finally, her breakfast was delicious and she accommodated my food allergy (gluten) with grace ”
