“Upon arrival to Charlottesville, and attempting to contact the host for entry details, I was informed by VRBO help line that the stay was cancelled. I was subsequently notified that the cancellation was identified as due to "minimum age of guest" which was odd as the 3 of us are well into retirement age. Honestly, I do hope that all is well with the owners/hosts and I would have appreciated more transparency or even an apology with "things have changed and we need the space for something else".……

“We absolutely loved our stay here! Absolutely beautiful property inside and out, perfect cozy spot, caught the snow which was beautiful! Only 15 minutes from town. We will definitely be back, and we loved the Alley Light suggestion from the owner which was incredible! All around it was a perfect stay, thank you!”

“The Ivy Rose Cottage was very comfortable and creatively decorated. The kitchen is nicely supplied for cooking simple meals. The trains did not disturb us and were fun to watch, especially the Amtrak. Great pizza and local brewery in nearby Crozet plus an excellent Harris Teeter grocery. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for an out-of-town stay. ”

“Great time being outdoors, enjoying local sites and traveling in to Charlottesville.”

“The cottage was very cute. It definitely could have been cleaner, as there were waxy lip prints on the bedroom window and a few dark smudges on the walls of the bedroom and bathroom. Also, it wasn’t made clear in the description that most of the one-lane, curvy road leading to the property was dirt/gravel. If it had been raining, it would have been pretty treacherous in a small car. My SUV handled it fine, but it did get very dirty. Overall, the property was quiet, comfortable and fairly well……

“If you’re looking for a peaceful, secluded outdoor oasis, then this is the place for you. The accommodations are modest and quite small for a family. However, if you are spending most of your time outside and don’t need a full kitchen then it would probably fit your needs well. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit, taking in the views and soaking in the hot tub. ”

“Well appointed, clean and cozy apartment on very quiet property with a lovely view. Comfortable beds, pillows and linens and fully stocked kitchenette. Big screen TV was nice but no LIVE tv access for Thanksgiving weekend sports was disappointing. We recommend this rental and would stay again. thanks!”

“Beautiful springtime visit to Crozet! We appreciated being walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, and the ice cream shop. The Crozet park and dog park was a great outing for the boys and our dog. The neighborhood was quiet and the house is well maintained and adorably decorated. We would definitely visit again. “This tiny house was great for some alone time with your partner. The only downsides were, there was a coffee pot you could make coffee on the stove, but no coffee maker. Your are set out in the country some, so some insects are to be expected, but they mostly stayed on the first floor, there was a decent amount of ants in the kitchen (windows were rustic, so they were coming in there) we just kept any food in the fridge. The handle on the tub is broken off, and we found it weird that already……

“What a perfect place for a wine getaway! The house is walking distance to the pickup for Crozet Trolley Tour as well as many food options. The house is adorable and a cozy place to hangout, the screened in porch was a perfect place for morning coffee and chats. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The host was easy to reach and very accommodating. Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to returning. ”

“We rented this house for 4 adults to stay in for a weekend. It was a good value for the price, and was adequate. The house and furniture are fairly dated, the master bathroom was not great, but for a great location and price we would stay here again. We would recommend this for a group who just needs a place to stay and not looking for the house itself to be the center of their trip. Safe neighborhood, convenient to walk to multiple coffee shops, and good parking spots for 2 normal size cars.”
