“A lovely house in a lovely spot, this was a great location for a week long getaway. Some confusion at check-in, the result of no batteries in the electronic lock, was easily dealt with with the hosts. The back porch had seen some bird activity between the previous guests and our stay. If we had spoken up, I’m sure the hosts would have dealt with that, too. We had our dogs with us and the stairs were steeper and slipperier than they liked, so that colored our stay a bit. That’s not anyone’s……

“The home is very secluded and has a magnificent view! The interior is gorgeous and perfect for a couple. The home faces west so the sunsets over the mountains and the James River are spectacular! There isn't a lot nearby in terms of grocery stores or restaurants. You'll have to travel 20 mins or so (as far as we could tell) to get to anything like that so bring your groceries. “We stayed with another family, 8 people total. The layout of the house was perfect and very accommodating for 4 teenagers. The house was clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. We all enjoyed the hot tub. Holly was very kind and quick to respond to my messages. The only thing that was a little confusing, was the place was advertised as “ski in/ski out”. We did not ever see where that was possible? The house was not close enough to the slope to be considered ski……
