“The property we rented was as advertised - 3 bedrooms and a 10-minute drive from Colby College, where we attended our college reunion. The house was older but had modern appliances, 2 bathrooms, a washer and dryer. The home is on a farm with horses and a mule on the premises, which we enjoyed. The owner lives in an addition attached to the home. She was most engaging and attentive to our questions and needs. “Our family had a truly wonderful time! The property is absolutely lovely, and it really felt like our home away from home! We sat around the table for hours talking and laughing! We walked down to the river and enjoyed nature! The historic Bowman House (1762) and the Pownalborough Court House (1761) are near by and we enjoyed walking around the grounds. We did some antique shopping, visited the Botanical Gardens, toured Old Fort Western (1754) in Augusta and visited several lighthouses. We were……

“My 24 year old son and I stayed here for 2 nights to visit family in the area . Our final destination was Cutler Coast for hiking/camping so we were not looking to to do Maine tourist attractions. Hannah’s place is very special in a wonderful way. The farmhouse is preserved in history while having every modern essential.
