“Beautiful scenic location. Hotel condition and all furnishing as new. Room extremely comfortable. Staff impeccable, not to be faulted. Food superb. Bar prices high. Lounge a bit bright…. Need table lamps rather than ceiling lights to give better ambience. Overall excellent.”

The accommodation was spacious and well laid out. Much thought has gone into furnishing and decoration of the hotel interior. Everywhere was bright and spotlessly clean. But above all was the standard of service and friendliness of the staff. A fabulous hotel.”

När vi kom dit så höll man på med renovering och vi blev initialt placerade i ett rum som inte alls motsvarade våra förväntningar. Personalen var som alltid tidigare helt fantastisk och de löste ett annat rum till oss. Även om det finns många bra matställen i Cockermouth så tycker jag att The Trout har riktigt bra mat, så vi åt de……
