“Lehua looked great in the add and was far better in person. We loved our stay-and seriously considered asking if we could stay longer. “LLC” had everything we needed and more-we were able to cook all our meals in a delightfully comfortable setting. Coqui frogs, though invasive, were a lovely treat to fall asleep to at night. We were unbelievably close to Volcanoes NP, for the fountaining lava and close enough to summit Mauna Kea! “This spot was awesome! The neighborhood didn’t have a great reputation with the locals but we honestly had no problems at all staying on this part of the island. The hosts were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed and even offered lots of really great recommendations for things to do while we were there. There isn’t a lot in the way of shops nearby, but they do have the essentials– a quick mart, gas, and even a pizza place. Very quiet and the stars at night are unmatched. The yurt……

“I can not say enough good things about this house! The photos do not do it justice. It is so beautiful with so many unique decorative touches and the tropical yard with the bird feeder and bird food provided was so peaceful that we took a morning off to catch up on rest and just enjoyed being there. We stargazed and listened to the sounds of the rainforest at night, especially the frogs. The pheasants and little yellow birds at the feeder in the morning provided a perfect backdrop for coffee……

“Our 4th or 5th stay here. Peace and quiet. You can walk to some very good local restaurants if you enjoy a long stroll. Very close to the Volcanic Park, but exceptionally quiet ”

“Wonderful 'treehouse' in the jungle, in a quiet, rural neighborhood yet very close to Volcanos National Park.The cabin had a well-equipped kitchen [including different coffee makers for those serious coffee drinkers], bottled drinking water, and was very spacious and open with floor to ceiling windows to make you feel like the jungle was inside. There are no window coverings but it wasn't an issue for us as the next-door house was a bit away. Plus, you could then tell when the volcano was……

“We had the best time at this little hideaway! It was perfect for the 2 of us and David and Wendy are wonderful. We didn't take advantage of the on site laundry, but it was so nice to have it available if needed.Property was as described if not better. Everything we needed. No wifi, but there is a cafe not far if you need to get some work done. We loved the frogs lullaby each night, and petting Tuffy the donkey was a joy!”
