“I believe this was our 5th stay at this property (?) and certainly not our last. It has become our home away from home while my son attends Hood College in Frederick. SO comfortable, with absolutely everything you could possibly need and more! Laurie is an EXTRAORDINARY host, fantastic communicator and wonderful human being with a house full of remarkable art, trinkets, books...it's like spending the weekend in a museum. Outdoor space is also phenomenally quirky! Every visit I discover something……

“This was a perfect spot for those of our family from out of town to rent for a nearby Family Reunion.We all love to walk, so thoroughly enjoyed being able to nearby restaurants and shopping. Especially enjoyed the Farmers Market on Sunday morning.”

“What an awesome house in a great location. Just a short walk to all of Frederick's shopping, breweries and restaurants, yet far enough away to be quiet at night. We stayed in the front bedroom upstairs and the bed was very comfortable. The house is fun to just hang out in too. We enjoyed checking out Laurie's books, vinyls and art while we were there.”

“We didn’t stay. We when arrived, instead of a room in the guest house, we were expected to stay in a tentlike structure. In addition, the bathroom facilities were outdoor showers and commodes that required a climb up a set of stairs. Luckily we were able to secure a room at another facility. The owner supposedly requested a refund for me but I haven’t heard whether this has been approved.”

“We were in town for a wedding and stayed at the Westy house with our 8 and 9 year old boys. We really enjoyed the location and we had all the comforts of home in the house. We will definitely stay again. ”

“This home and property was very large. Absolutely wonderful. Storage space was unbelievable. Beds were very comfortable. We had our family all together for a wedding. We had everything we needed. Very clean, easy check in and host was very responsive. There were deer everyday wondering around. Very quiet, beautiful, secluded neighborhood yet conveniently located. The only downside was the well water needed more softener because the water had a metal smell. I would highly recommend this home.”

“The setting is beautiful and peaceful. The home is warm and cozy. It was definitely a home away from home. A perfect location. relaxing and rural yet convenient and not far from town. We would definitely recommend it. We stayed for our daughters wedding, it was a perfect place to get ready and the photos were amazing. ”
