“We were all very impressed with the house, the property, and all of the amenities. Kitchen was stocked very well. The lake was excellent for kayaks. The fire pit was a big hit also. We had a fire every night and had plenty of wood. The outdoor shower was very useful too. The only thing I might add is another bathroom.”

We stayed for two nights for a quick getaway for my husbands birthday and visited Silver Lake Sand Dunes (approx 40 mins away) and used the rowboat to enjoy Big Star Lake and do some fishing. “The Eagles Nest at the Blue Heron Resort on Diamond Lake is not for everyone but we loved it. I say not for everybody in part because you need to take a series of stairs including nearly 30 steps to reach the cabin from the parking space provided. While we (both in our 70's) didn't have a problem, others may well prefer few stairs. The cabin is also not fancy or modern and has a few quirks including a noticeable slant towards the lake.
