“We only stayed 3 nights, however I wish we had planned a whole week. The owners made us feel so welcome and a part of the river community. The VRBO had awesome views from the balcony where we could watch the barges and other boats going up and down the river. It is a very rural area so if you want to relax and have peace and quiet, this is the place. We brought our dog and she truly enjoyed our walks and visiting with the owners' dog Forrest. We stayed over Christmas and the host even had a beautifully decorated Christmas tree to set our mood for the week. It was such a nice surprise to walk into. So many special touches. The bathrooms were stocked with hygiene items such as toothbrushes, hand cream disposable razors and even a fully stocked first aid kit which we actually needed. “We had a wonderful stay at the Ruebling cabin. It was exactly as the pictures showed. I have a lot of allergies, so staying in rentals can be tricky, but I had no troubles. It was clean and comfortable. They have done a really nice job of making upgrades (lots of hot water and easy air conditioning control) while maintaining a cabin feel. If we are back in the area, we will definitely try to stay here.”

“The property was modern, clean, comfortable and beautiful. We really enjoyed the back patio and surprisingly there were little to no bugs outside. We consisted of two couples and two sisters. We were not able to watch TV bc we had to link it to a Roku or YouTube TV account. It worked out fine because we were there to spend time with our family who was in a nearby house. I would recommend this rental and especially to a family.”
