“My kids, grandkids ages 8-17 stayed for 4 days in December. It was nice that the house was decorated. We enjoyed the hot tub and the ping pong table. We visited the Farnsworth House nearby which was really interesting!”

The ‘movie themed’ decor was chinsy at best. The parking area is filled with garbage, broken cinder blocks, a tire, and a junked car. There weee old shoes on balcony. The ‘landscaping’ was filled with garbage and debris. The check-in rules and regulations are extensive (requiring expensive insurance or $5,000 cash……

“We should have listened to the other reviews on this place, but unfortunately there wasn't much in the area to choose from. From the moment we walked in it smelled terrible, almost like a skunk smell. Obviously it's right on the Fox River so there's going to be bugs but a lot of the windows especially upstairs are not sealed right and in one of the bedrooms there were a ton of mosquitoes and other bugs all over the ceiling. Thankfully we found some ant spray in a random cabinet and were able to……

“Nice Facility. Great, helpful staff. Surprised by the Villa Lodge rooms. Very spacious for 5 adults and a toddler. Enjoyed the rural setting. Wildlife in the area. Disappointed by the 'green' lake so no peddle boats or fishing. But that's Mother Nature! :( Many activities to take part in throughout the day and evenings.”
