“The photos online do not do justice for this beautiful home. We had a group of 12 traveling from Chicago for a graduation and there was more than enough room and space. They had lots of toys and games for the adults and the kids. The view was breathtaking of the lake. Highly recommend to anyone wanting lots of space and a relaxing trip. ”

“Took a day ride to visit our daughter and wanted something other than a hotel room. I stumbled across this little cozy cabin down by Crab Orchard and loved it. Nothing super fancy but it was perfect for what we needed. The place was a bit rustic and very clean and we loved it. There were deer and a few other animal visitors that we quite enjoyed. The bed was comfy and we slept great, the location takes you out of the hustle and bustle of the rest of the world. Would love to do it agian. ”

“The treehouse was super cozy and just the perfect size for us. I enjoyed all the amenities, especially a stacked kitchen, a hot tub, and evenings by the bonfire. A nature trail was such a unique addition! I would highly recommend this treehouse to anyone seeking to relax in nature. ”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Carbondale. We had a 7 month old and 2 year old with us as well as 6 adults. The house was very spacious and provided everything we needed. We would definitely stay again! ”

“The cabin was very clean, and I paid for some enhancements, which were delivered as promised. It’s secluded enough from the city, but not too far of a drive if you want to go into town. The only thing I would change is the bed; I wish it were bigger. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this place. We pulled a bass boat with us, and it was manageable, but if you have a pontoon or a larger boat, you might struggle a bit.”

“We booked a long weekend here for my dad’s 70th birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The home has been nicely updated but still contained plenty of original touches that have it character. The outside space was great! We spent a lot of time on the deck, used the grill and fire pit, and of course the lake! We were very impressed with all of the lake toys the shed offered, especially the kayaks. The inside was set up perfectly for our group and our teenager appreciated her own space……

“We were so impressed with the attention to detail. We stay with VRBO atleast 1 a month and this property is one of our favorites. These owners really take the extea step to make you feel at home. All the extras were so appreciated. Especially all the coffee cups! We stayed here for a weekend while fishing Rend Lake. Loved little town of Benton. Everyrhing you need close by. We will be back! “This is a remarkable property tucked into the woods just west of Carbondale. Beautifully appointed. Gorgeous screened-in wrap around porch. Amazing bedrooms with en-suite baths. This was a very comfortable weekend retreat for our family. Would definitely book again!”

“Our group didn’t get to use this house actually. Owner had contacted us about having to move us because of the recent tornado, due to another family being displaced. Totally understand. The owner went above and beyond our expectations. He moved us to another property that was much larger and worked out great for our group. They even moved the boat dock in time for our trip. Can’t say anything negative about the property owner/manger. Thank you. We will be staying at this property again.”

“This property is beautiful. The area is peaceful and the house is just as listed. Lots of special touches, charging ports in each bedroom, TV in each bedroom and lots more. They say the little things matter. Five stars ”
