“Such a cute little cabin! I wish the stay would've been longer as it was incredibly cozy and well appointed. Would've loved to have a TV in the bedroom, but I understand that not everyone feels that way. Will definitely book again if available during my next visit!”

“My husband and I came with our dog to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Our dog absolutely loved playing with the property dog, Kevin, in and out of the water. We spent our time hiking different areas in Shawnee, and thought this cabin was a great central location. The firepit (with free wood), patio set up and location were absolutely perfect! Marion has an adorable town square that is a 10 minute drive away. We had some fabulous meals in Marion, so we didn't do any cooking at the cabin.……

“One of the best houses we’ve rented from! Very clean, plenty of linens, and everyone had more than enough space. Close enough to town to order DoorDash, but still has the ‘cabin in the woods’ feel. Best of both worlds! ”

“Great little place to stay. Has a nice pond area with swimming activities and fishing. Cabins are somewhat close but they have good tall privacy fences between them. Great outdoor seating. Clean inside and out. ”

“Christopher is a small town, well off the beaten path, yet close enough to larger cities. Cute cabin. Comfy beds. Good shower and fluffy towels. Very clean. Chairs on each porch for morning coffee and chatting. Had no issues so no need to contact the host while there. Would happily stay there again. ”

“We loved Black Bear Cabin and would definitely stay again! The place was absolutely spotless and had everything we could need, plus some extra touches like K-cups and creamer for our morning coffee. There are games and books, and the game room has tons of fun things to do. Miranda was very responsive and even had the AC going for us when we arrived on a 90-degree day! We will stay again.”

“This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family of four. The cabin was very clean with furnishing, decor, and amenities that were all well thought out. From the unique nature themed wall hangings to the abundance of hooks for coats and towels, everything about this place feels cozy and inviting. The location is perfect, being about 10 minutes from Carbondale and less than 10 minutes to Giant City State Park. The lofted sleeping area and lack of tub make this better suited for older kids, but we……
