“Lovely old quiet country hotel with beautiful gardens and views. Very short staffed on arrival but all friendly & helpful. Comfy room & beds, crisp sheets. Beds made up each day. Bottled water, towels, shower gel/shampoo, hairdryer all supplied. Fabulous shower. Tea/coffee in room too. Only thing missing were some coasters. (Dont like putting hot mugs directly on furniture.) The carpet had seen better days, but all in all a lovely room. Delicious choice of breakfasts & evening meals……

“The hotel was welcoming and the room was spacious, and comfortable, if a little stuffy. It was at the top of the building and the windows would only open a little. “This was our second visit (one year later). The friendliness of the staff is still good but the food quality and service has deteriorated. Quite a long wait for food. Understandable as they were busy and happy to wait for freshly cooked food. However all three different main courses were dry and overcooked. The pasta with the salmon was just a few rings which hadn't been mixed properly with the sauce. At breakfast (which was not busy) there was very little fruit juice in the containers. The milk……
