“The Briers is a beautiful property hosted by Darren, a precious man. He asked after our trip, have recommendations based on what we liked, suggested places that he and his family have enjoyed and was a delight to talk to. The room is spacious, the bathroom is out of a magazine, the view is beautiful and the location ideal. It feels like being in a movie set. We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area. ”

“Main standout quality of this hotel is it’s location. Beautiful views of The Mournes and very well maintained gardens. Also ample car parking space. If you want a quiet place to escape then this is it. Very attentive staff and excellent food. We did get the impression that one of the male staff was overworked- it seemed that he was absolutely doing everything, but must stress that he was an excellent ‘people person’ and that nothing was a bother to him. “We stayed in Cottage A as a family of 6. It is a very beautiful cottage and it was set up with a beautiful Christmas tree. The host was very friendly and helpful, and had the fire in the living room set up burning already, and the hot tun already set up ready to go. It was very clean and everything is very modern and just beautiful. Unfortunately we didnt get to spend much time admiring the views because it was raining a and very windy/ cold. Without the kids we could have done more exploring……
