“The Blyde Mountain Country House is set back off the main roads, and quite peaceful, charming and very welcoming. Bets (short for Elizabeth) surprised us with an upgrade, and the cottage room was delightful. “I have not left a review for anything in a long time, but AM Lodge absolutley deserves a great review. I read a couple of previous reviews that made me hesitant, but the record needs to be set straight. I stayed Mar 14 - March 16 of 2025 and it could not have been a better experience. I was first greeted at checkin by Raydene, Chris, and Musa. They had a non alcoholic mixed drink ready and waiting for me, a hot towel, and Raydene began explaining the structure of the lodge. “The bedding was clean, but that is all. The room, bathroom, shower had not been cleaned in ages! The Tv stopped working. the hut needed maintainance. A shocking experience - Will never go back and would not recommend to anyone! ”

“The place is lovely and me and my lady enjoyed it. The only issue I had was the bed, it was not that comfortable, same goes to the pillows, they where big. Oh and board needs some attention because when you walk inside the tent your partner got to wake up because they squicky. But nevertheless I enjoyed it, even proposed and she said yes”
