“This is our first time staying at a homestay. The overall experience was good, clean and comfortable room. The two staff members Ai and Duyen were extremely helpful and went out of their ways to assist us with our meals and in arranging transportation. ”

“Walking distance from Oxalis and owner was very understanding of caving adventures, assisted with our laundry over night and the lodge has riverside views, was clean and had comfortable bed. Easy to coordinate a ride with the staff there or using grab or town is about 20 min walk away with stops to eat and watch the river along the way. They offer food for all meals and the breakfast was good, cooked to order :) I would stay here again. Plus everyone in town told me they know the owner and are……

“Un bel hôtel pratique avec seulement 12 chambres. La piscine est très bien et grande, mais nous n’étions pas dans la saison chaude pour en profiter. Les chambres sont propres, mais la propreté des tables et des chaises dans les espaces communs laisse à désirer et sont rarement lavés. L’odeur d’égoûts nauséabonde dans la salle de bain est présente surtout en soirée, mais si on laisse la porte fermée en tout temps c’est mieux. Bon petit déjeuner Nous n’avons pas aimé l’odeur du feu en permanence,……

“The level of English from the staff was really not even. The rest was really good and worth everypenny. Would recommend.”

“The room was more than what we expected. It was spacious, neat and tidy. The toilet is also quite big, though it smells a little so we always have the toilet cover down. The staff would never miss a chance to sell you national park tour or pick up services(seems to be a norm in that area), but was very nice and are able to communicate in English. They were also very helpful by calling the tourism centre, which we booked our tour to national park since our tour guide was late. Another thing……

“Clean cozy, high-ceilinged hotel with complementary coffee, water, breakfast, and happy hour beer! The host family was delightful and helped us arrange scooter rentals, caving expeditions, and a taxi through the DMZ areas on our way to Hue. Highly recommended!”

“I think that if you love camping and don't mind seeing some tiny flying critters in the room, this is a great place for you. The room is basic but it's got a wonderful view of the mountains and the river that the boat tours pass through. The host was nice to talk with and was helpful with your questions (in English). The host booked a tour for me for the same morning.”

“Our stay here was wonderful. Quiet, nice bed, you can use their bikes to explore. I can’t say enough about the staff. They got us breakfast early and told us we are welcome to use the shower when we were done with our trek. When we went outside by the pool to have a drink at night, they turned on all the string lights just for us. ”

“It rained throughout the 3 nights we stayed at Phòng Nha. Luckily for us this guest house/hotel had a restaurant so we didn’t have to walk outside to eat. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s a simple but very good value place, with nice rooms, a swimming pool and a fantastic view. I would go back there if I returned to Phòng Nha”
