“I know a lot of the reviews have been negative but this lodge is just a simple, comfortable motel. The rooms haven’t been renovated so they’re a little run down but almost everything was spotless and the linens were clean. I’d say just some of the corners were a bit dusty and there were some hard water stains in the sink. The mattresses are a little saggy but were still decently comfortable. We stayed for a night to catch an early kayak tour out of Seward and it was a good deal. Most other……

“What a lovely place! After departing a cruise ship early in the morning, we were able to store our luggage there and see the town while waiting for our room to be ready. We stayed in the Bear Glacier room on the first floor, basically 2 adjoining bedrooms and a bathroom. Very comfortable! Only negative is that the walls and floor are not insulated to reduce noise.
