“If you’re headed to Seward this is the absolute best place to stay. I am absolutely in love with this quiet remote place. It is nicely tucked away in the middle of the woods. The owner Gary is usually in the office when you enter. He is warm, informative and extremely pleasant to deal with. He had two assistants that were equally as pleasant and helpful. The cabins were well stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. The place was safe, well kept and just a dream get away for anyone……

“What a lovely place! After departing a cruise ship early in the morning, we were able to store our luggage there and see the town while waiting for our room to be ready. We stayed in the Bear Glacier room on the first floor, basically 2 adjoining bedrooms and a bathroom. Very comfortable! Only negative is that the walls and floor are not insulated to reduce noise. “Worth it! Brilliant location. Feels like being directly out in nature, but all the amenities of home. Timeless memories of sitting on the front deck of our own log cabin in the woods taking in the sights, sounds and scents of the kenai bush. “I know a lot of the reviews have been negative but this lodge is just a simple, comfortable motel. The rooms haven’t been renovated so they’re a little run down but almost everything was spotless and the linens were clean. I’d say just some of the corners were a bit dusty and there were some hard water stains in the sink. The mattresses are a little saggy but were still decently comfortable. We stayed for a night to catch an early kayak tour out of Seward and it was a good deal. Most other……

“Gorgeous view, incredible breakfast and very accommodating. Allowed us to store our bikes in their garage due to rain. It’s a popular spot cause of how awesome it is so it was fully booked when we stayed. Everyone was nice and courteous however the walls and doors aren’t well insulted so you could hear murmuring through the rooms and all the plumbing. Not the end of the world by any means, and it didn’t deter us from continuing our multi night stay! The hosts more than make up for the thin……
