“One of the coolest places we’ve ever stayed! The property and house were absolutely perfect for a relaxed family get together. Highlights included game nights, chatting on the enclosed porch, morning coffee on the back deck and a sunset bocce game…so many memories. Agree with everything written in all previous reviews, but would add that my favorite parts were the bonafide gorgeous pollinator garden and the abundance of delightful art throughout the house and property! “Rose Cottage was perfect and a delightful place to stay with dogs. The house had everything we needed and was so organized and welcoming that we were quick to feel at home. Jessie was so kind when we met. The fire pit and axe throwing down by the creek was so refreshing and the dogs were wild about running about in the huge fenced in section of the yard. We also enjoyed the deck. We're eager to come back when visiting our family and hometown again soon. ”

“Overall this was a great place to stay. We had 5 adults and a toddler and were comfortable. We brought our Cavachon and he did well too! Host was very responsive and great with work with. Only drawbacks, floors were a little dirty. If there was a regular mop, I would have cleaned the floors! Ants around the sink, and strong odor from someone’s previous pet visit. All manageable and I’d stay there again! ”

“Our VRBO home was the perfect selection and location for our gathering of 3 generations to celebrate our youngest two boys (twins) graduation from Virginia Tech. All of us staying together under one roof, made the weekend so much more special. Instead of fighting the crowds for restauraunt reservations we were able to order in, relax, and spend more time together as a family. The home was the anchor of a great weekend. We gathered around the dining room table or in the large eat-in kitchen that……

“This house was perfect! We came into town for a family reunion and this house was exactly what we needed. Each room had their own set of towels and there was a washer and dryer to do laundry. We had a slight issue with getting in (most likely user error) but Karen was great in responding and fixing the issue. If you have the chance, definitely stay here! It was great. ”
