“We were so surprised. We drove past, were a little unsettled at the facade, went in and still unsure. There is some remodelling going on. During check in, we were put at ease. She was so helpful, engaging & friendly. Then she said, we need to go outside and go through the red door! WHAT? Really? As we were walking up, she told us the place was built in 1883,added a little history and that we had her favorite room and why, then showed us in. SO SURPRISED. “Spacious house with mountain views near Great Sand Dunes National Park. The town is tiny but not terribly far from larger towns with more amenities. We really enjoyed the space to spread out and proximity to the dunes. The house had large appliances and spacious kitchen and plenty of hot water. The gas range especially was a pleasure to use.
