“Returned 40 years later from our 1st stay, when it was in its original ocean front location, to this 2025 stay. Classic, historic, dedicated beach access, lovely grounds, lush landscaping and gardens, and a great vibe. Rocking chairs and porch swings harken back to the good ‘ol days. Wonderful breakfasts by Chef Georgia, with eclectic culinary creations. Just love this ‘old woodie’ hotel in the original classic OBX architectural style.”

“We had a very nice stay at Downtime!! The temperature outside was unexpectedly HOT (the sand temp was off the charts) but we found that evening swims were just as fun. The cottage was very nice and has lots of extras (kitchenware, chairs, umbrellas, games, puzzles) and our group of 3 adults and 3 children had plenty of space. ”
