“I've never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before and this was actually booked by mistake. What a peasant surprise. I will not stay anywhere else while in Nevada City or it's surrounding areas. Poria (SP?) and Flume's End is my go to destination. ”

“This property is historical and quaint, it was where the Olympic athletes stayed for the 1960 Olympics. It was a bit tricky trying to find where the front office was, but we loved the location. The woman at the front desk was great and so helpful. We were so pleased that we had bikes available on site for our use. Walking to the main Ski Area was easy. It is showing some age on the outside, but the rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need, including warm robes.”

“Absolutely fantastic home away from home! I felt comfortable and safe at the cottage. The area is lovely and the property is stunning. I will be booking again in the near future!”

“Entrance to the home was a bit scary because of the dropped off to the garage floor, especially at night when it was dark! The hot tub didn't look clean based on the look of the water. Other than that, everything else was fine. ”

“The slope of the driveway would have been a problem if there had been snow.”

“Limited supplies - no sponge to wash dishes, almost all empty for hand soaps and detergents, only two laundry detergent pods left, no napkins or tissues, one roll of paper towels, also be aware it’s a hot water tank and not tankless so only enough hot water for 1.5 showers before you have to wait. Also many old and unusable pots/pans. No pan so can’t use oven. ”

“This place was great. Very comfortable for a family of 5, great location. Only problem we had was not enough hot water. ”
