“Our room and entire floor smelled of possible mildew and/or water damage. The shower drain was broken so we had to put something to keep it lodged open. And significant mold stains in restroom. Was not aware the hotel is going through major construction. Only 1 elevator was working. Construction workers and tools are loud. No pool. No gym. No lobby. Won't be finished for a long time. Staff was super nice and helpful. 10 stars for them.”

“The staff was very accommodating for our late check-in and helped made everything go very smooth and easy to get to the room. We appreciated the late check out. Very clean facility. The bed was on the firm side and the pillows were super soft, not much support after a while. I would rebook there again.”

“This review is somewhat bias, but honest. My wife and I have been staying here on our anniversaries for the last, at least, seven years. It is a safe, quiet, charming and well kept hotel, with a wonderful staff, a health spa has been added, as well as a restaurant. It is a bit out of the way, which is what attracted us in the first place and it’s adults only. It is not on the beach, but a short walk will get you to Avila beach its location, it , as the hotel is, a bit out of the way. Close……

“Our stay was good overall, but the tv in the bedroom didn't work, and the owner knew it didn't work. The sliding door screen was bad, as it didn't slide smoothly on the bottom railing. Maybe the wheels were bad? Also the screen had a large tear in two places. It should have been replaced before it was rented out. The bed was comfortable. The large sectional couch was nice.”
