We were very pleasantly surprised; the property is beautiful architecturally, the hosts were really gracious and welcoming, and the breakfasts were wonderful. Murphy's is a little foodie haven with a bunch of local cellar doors open to the public, and historic goldrush era buildings in the surrounding villages. “We stayed in the senior room. Other than lack of windows, the room was good. Bed was very comfortable. Walked to La Contenta club house for breakfast. Nice walk along the golf course and breakfast was excellent. ”

“The property was great for a girls weekend in the wine country. Definitely more suitable for sleeping 6, can't imagine 8 adults would be comfortable. The communication was great. There are just a few simple touches that would make it a 5 star stay, such as adult sized bath towels, stocked toliet paper, and a full set of wine glasses (since it's the wine country). We cooked dinner both nights and the kitchen had the basics. The kitchen needs a full sized garage can (with extra trash bags). The……
