“We stayed here while we were visiting the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. We arrived in the evening, after check-in time, so they left an envelope at the door with all the information to access our room. “I am obsessed with the property and the bus! My husband and I stayed for a night with our three toddlers while taking a night off from section hiking the AT. We all slept in the king bed in the back which was INSANELY comfortable. The hosts are a super sweet little family. Our laundry was done for a small fee very quickly. “The Lil House is a nice, cozy spot for a couple to unwind and enjoy the nearby mountains and what the general area has to offer. I enjoyed the slightly rustic and mountainous themed decor. “Lazy Bear Lodge is beautiful and spacious, perfect for family gatherings. The thoughtful touches, like providing basic staples, were appreciated. However, the location is more remote than expected. The pool, advertised as 5 minutes away, is actually a 17-minute drive and closes at 7 PM, not 10 PM. Furthermore, reaching Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg requires a 30-minute drive to a main road, followed by an additional 30-40 minutes to the destination.
