“My husband and I stayed for a week. The cottage has great scenery and it was lovely walking on the property. It was incredibly peaceful on rainy days, and the stars were breath taking on clear nights. The owner was kind enough to volunteer bringing in an AC unit for unseasonably warm nights. “We rented the house for a brother’s weekend getaway. Steve was very accessible re: communication (access codes, how to use amenities on property, etc). The location is excellent, the property is well-maintained & well-stocked…kitchen appliances, cooking utensils, plenty of bedding, even fire starters & seasoned firewood for the outdoor fire pit are on-site. Very nice experience!”

“We rented this home for a little family excursion while my son and daughter in law visited from Idaho. It is a beautiful place. We did not get to use the river or fire pit due to rain but it was beautiful there. The only thing I would have changed would have been the seating in the game room when stairs. There was not enough room for an of us to sit and play. Other than that we all had a wonderful time. ”

“Very cute cabin close to Sparta. Location was great. Despite other reviews my GPS found this place with no problem. Aside from low stock of paper goods (which really wasn't an issue as we got more in town) it was great. Yes floors are creaky. It’s an old house. It is part of the charm. Will definitely stay here again. ”

“We had a lovely stay with stunning views. The unexpected snow was a bonus, and the community cleared and salted the roads, so we had no issues getting in our out. ”

“Upon arrival a few minutes before 4 PM, we were surprised to find the driveway completely covered in thick snow, despite the surrounding roads and other driveways being clear. With both an AWD and a 4x4 vehicle, we still struggled to get traction and ended up sliding down. Our family had to manually shovel and sand the driveway just to attempt access.To make matters worse, when some family tried to enter the cabin at check-in time, the entry code didn’t work. I called the rental office at least……

“This is our second time staying here and we had a wonderful time!! The view is absolutely amazing!!! The home is always extremely clean and well kept! We felt like we were at home! The owners are always accommodating and responsive. The stocked kitchen is wonderful as well. This is the perfect place for a weekend away not far from home! We can’t wait to come back next year!!”

“Such a great space for a group of friends & family. There's a little river nearby that the kids loved exploring and we flew kites. There are plenty of rooms / space. The kitchen is designed for a large group with two dish washers. We had some small issues with a leak / roof, shower and propane tank but all of the issues were resolved swiftly and with good communication. ”
