“Our room was very spacious and on the first floor. We even had a balcony at the other end of the room. The pool was small and a disabled person in our party could not get in it because there were no handrails. The setting was up in the mountains north of Alajuela and the air was fresh at night. “When we arrived, the attendant didn't even know we were coming. He said they were full. He swore his account did not reflect our reservation despite the details i showed him. Ultimately the exact room we booked was free. It was not the room shown in the pictures. The room was not aesthetically pleasing whatsoever with outdated bedding, no decor, breaking down furniture, and cords hanging all over. The shower barely functioned and one of the bath towels was moist. The breakfast was fresh but……

“We had issue getting into the place at first but it was solved pretty quickly. There's a guard 24/7 at the gate. It is within walking distance of the mall and restaurants. “We loved this little spot! It was a great place to land after our flight. Very close to downtown Alajuela, which meant that we could walk out our door in the morning and find a nice cafe and good food at the Central Market. Our only challenge was that the traffic was quite loud overnight; my partner had a hard time sleeping, even with the provided earplugs. I recommend this location for sure for heavy sleepers.”
