“We needed an overnight bed and breakfast option after attending a wedding at nearby Farnham Castle. Dawyk Beech fitted the bill perfectly and was less expensive than an overnight at the castle. Our en suite room was a very generous size overlooking the lovely garden with a comfortable king bed. We needed to check in before the official time of 4.30 to get changed for the wedding and wouldn't be back at the guesthouse until after midnight. “Overall a pleasant enough place to stay, but not outstanding. Proximity of our bedroom door to the pub’s toilets, with urinals in full view, was a little off putting, though no issue with noise. For our 3-day stay there was not sufficient clothes hanging space or drawers, the wardrobe being a small half height space shared with the kettle & coffee machine. We had to live out of our suitcase. Breakfast was adequate but not outstanding given the B&B rate.”
