“Quiet when we were there apart from noisy kitchen fans. Horrible car park, not sighnposted well from the road. Lift worked. Old building well adapted.”

We all like romantic dinners with soft lighting, but one of the nights the lights were so dim, we could not identify some the food on the plate without tasting it. After that we picked our own table with better lighting :)”

“From the moment I drove in, the hotel made a great impression. The driveway is elegant, complete with a live water fountain that gives a touch of class. The building has an old, stately feel, so I was pleasantly surprised by the modern automatic doors — a brilliant contrast that sets the tone. Check-in was quick and easy. “Lovely, period hotel. Very roomy, comfortable lounge. Good room, only complaint was the heat - a hot pipe ran through our room, it was sweltering, luckily there was a fan as windows would not open. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Nice cotton towels and crisps cotton bed linen.”
