“The owner never contacted us with check in information. We tried getting ahold of the owner 3 days before our arrival and we never got a response. VRBO was no help! We are waiting for a refund as we didn’t have access to the property. This has been an extremely frustrating experience. Do not book this house!”

We had a crazy schedule with being in town for a race and owner was very flexible about making sure we could get into property and even got up at an insanely early hour to have complimentary breakfast food available. ”

“The description of the bungalow was perfect and accurate. We were very comfortable and loved the hot tub, especially after a long day on the golf course. The only glitch was that our code to the door did not work, but Kelly was right there for us and we were able to enter the bungalow in a matter of minutes. Kelly is the perfect host. She talked to us about the golf courses that we were going to play. It was very helpful. We would all stay at the bungalow again without any hesitation.”

“My husband and I had a great stay at the Hoothaus. Great location with easy access to mountain biking and running trails. Close to the lake and to downtown Nevada City, yet still quiet and peaceful. The hosts were very communicative and helpful in suggesting local activities. Space was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed! Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area. ”

It's rare to stay at a spot where there are cooking spices, tupperware containers, and minimal cleanup/checkout instructions, and all of these little things really added up to make for a relaxing and fulfilling vacation. “Perfect place to stay on our trip to Nevada City! The space is exactly as described. The birds outside were the cutest neighbors! There are apples and wild blackberries on the property, too. In the morning, you may hear people walking around upstairs. Something to consider if you are a light sleeper or want to sleep in. It was a short walk to town. Be sure to check out the Saturday Farmer's Market if you can! Would definitely consider staying here again. ”
