“We paid 90 pounds for a 3 single-beded room but got a 70 ponds room. The staff said it not possible to chang the room but are willing to return our money back. The staff is friendly but somehow we still frustrated about the negotiations.”

“We enjoyed a very pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and keen to help in every way. The food was excellent and good value for money. The premises were full of objects of interest and were kept clean and tidy. ”

“The room was fine, for such and old property without a straight wall or floors. Looking right across at the castle it was comfortable. Plenty of teas of different flavours and coffee on hand. Very welcoming hosts who let us use the parking permit through out our stay.”

“It was convenient, but the parking, tho free, isn't quite as implied. You can't park at the property, but there are 2 car parks with free parking for up to 24 hours with no return in less than 4 hours. It was also mostly very clean. However, I dropped the top from an ointment while in the toilet/shower room. It went under what turned out to be a space under a cupboard and the shower which was such that I let the top remain wherever it was. ”

“Great location close to all amenities, but being a front room on the main road noise is a problem. The bedroom would benefit from curtains rather than blinds to cut out the street lighting to aid better sleep. Otherwise the room was good, but the bathroom is tiny. ”

“Quite easy to find, & handy for many of the cute villages on that coast. The bed was comfortable, & the single room has its own bathroom with a good shower & a, very welcome, hot bath. Tea, coffee, fresh milk & 2 types of cereal available. Would use again if I was over on Northumberland's coast.”

“We enjoyed a fantastic 2 night trip over the bank holiday weekend. This was a lovely place to stay, beautifully decorated throughout, VERY comfortable beds, very clean. Its in a peaceful location (2 minutes from the Chillingham cattle visitor centre). Our host Mhairi couldn't have been more thoughtful or welcoming during our stay.
