“The owners, Paul and Kate go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I rarely write reviews, but looked forward to sharing about The Ivy House. The room we stayed in was well stocked with fresh water, tea, and hot chocolate. The bed was very comfortable and I have a fussy back. The shower was modern. You can order your breakfast the night before and eat it in an extraordinarily well decorated dining room. A most pleasant stay.”

“This B&B was booked for its proximity to the Rugby club for a party, and we didn’t want to camp, or drive home. However, I travel a lot for work and this is place that has got it right (better than many 4 star hotels) there are usb port and sockets at the bedside tables, large towels. Plenty of milk and tea and coffee (bag - not instant). Smart clean bathroom, without bottles screwed to the wall. And breakfast was fabulous (and I normally don’t eat a full engish from the warming plate in big……

“What a beautiful charming B&B. Located in the Idyllic village of Near Sawrey, I chose this place for it's charm, the price and location. Ann and Stephen, the host's couldn't be more helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice. Beds are comfortable, lovely rooms. Tea and coffee available. Towels, complimentary washing items from local company. I loved it and throughly recommend it. ”

“We went as a family of 4 and our stay was great. No problem at all except we got a bit cold at night, but that’s it! Everything else was great. We got free parking just up the road courtesy of the b&b management and breakfast was also included, which wasn’t mentioned on the initial booking. So bonuses all round really!”

“Natural site, room is in high standard. The host is friendly and his cooking for breakfast is appreciated. Though it takes 15 minutes walk from bus stop, the way around is full of natural feeling. You may breathe a natural smell or listen to sheep voice. It's an excellent experience and will highly recommend my friends to visit and myself is highly and likely to revisit again. ”
