“We stayed at Walnut Grove Ranch from 5-18-2025 through 5-25-2025, and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute there. We were surprised to learn that the historic home was built around 1870 by the same Sheriff Brady who encountered Billy the Kid. The spacious home served as our clean, comfortable and well-appointed base from which we visited the White Sands, Cloudcroft, the Inn of the Mountain Gods, historic Lincoln, Smoky Bear museum, and informative Fort Stanton.
