“A very poor experience - the house was dirty - I had to clean the kitchen - the fridge was full of meat that wasn't frozen and smelt - it was so unhygenic we didn't eat in it - the bedroom was musty and had cobwebs throughout - the bathroom was dirty and there was no toilet paper - someone arrived home at 11.30 and let dogs into the house so that I was bailed up in the bathroom.we want a refund for a very poor experience”

“Lovely spacious home. Beautiful surroundings and peaceful. Pool was very nice but underwater light was hanging out exposed wire. Lawn could have used a mow as made it more difficult to keep house clean as feet getting wet all te time. Also harder to play cricket. Outdoor lounge has seen better days. Beds were comfortable. Everything you need in kitchen. Second fridge not working properly in house. Overall we had a wonderful stay.”

“We absolutely loved our stay at Barakee. Our children (2 and 4) absolutely loved the pool and feeding the animals. The hosts were welcoming and allowed our children to meet and feed the animals. The house was in immaculate condition and such great amenities. ”

“Amazing stay here at Talbot lodge farmhouse is a short trip to the heart of beautiful York which we timed with their annual easter antique fair.The Lodge was just beautiful well stocked and so peaceful this would be my favourite vacation spot in years.Watching the sheep and alpacas walk back in the evening off the verandah was beautiful and so well stocked with games and toys for a young family. Very clean. Host Natasha was beautiful too and on hand with our city question. Loved it we will……

“We all had an amazing stay at this property and everyone enjoyed their stay. We could not fault the cleanliness and abundance of kitchen dishes and cutlery etc. We enjoyed the peaceful nights and stargazing, They should probably check the doors as some of them do not close easily and need adjustments, otherwise we all had a enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful stay.”

“Absolutely beautiful accommodation. I can’t recommend enough. We stayed in the dome with our dog and the room is gorgeous. You get all the nature and peace of camping with all the luxury of a hotel. Extremely dog friendly, they provided dog bowls and dog beds. The room has air conditioning, a kitchenette and beautiful bathroom. As you lie on the bed you can stare up at the stars through the sky light. There’s also a very romantic bath tub on the deck which is very private. I’ve stayed in the……

“We booked this property as it could accommodate a large group. We had 10 adults and 12 kids and there was plenty of room for all of us inside and out. The kids had an absolute blast with none of them wanting to leave after our 2-night stay. The gardens are huge with plenty of space to kick around balls etc. The outside deck had a lounge area and a dining area then there is also an BBQ area with a Pizza oven with another dining area. We were covered for dinner on both nights. Lazy days spent……

“We had the most wonderful time. The accomodation was perfect for two families to spread out across and the animal loving kids just drank in all the animal experiences and then played endless soccer games on the huge back lawn. The outlook was just superb and we will definitely be back”
